Activity# 3 your reaction The Color Purple
The message that I got from this book is that back in the days in South Carolina African American women were slaves and the men use to beat them, rape them, and take away there babies. What Iam trying to say is that the message from this book is letting people know that women in the south treated like dirt. But African Americans was strong and they stood up for wha they believed in. This book was written for those people who wanted to know about slaverly back then. For my opinon, I think getting the message across because its saying that in the days women didn't have the rights of freedom and today women have the rights of freedom and today women have the rights what to do or say.
I think that a friend should read this novel because it is good to read about slaverly and author is example in the book of how slaverly was like. For example, African Amercian women had to stay home and clean and cook and raise the children and also they had to work for the white people and paid them a little of money. The novel helped me, because women should stand up for they rights.
