Activity# 2-characterization

The main character of THE COLOR PURPLE Celie. The appearance of Celie is she is African Amercian she wears dresses and she also has braids. The characters actions were that she is a sensitive person, very emotional she not happy inside because of the way Albert treats her, like for example he beats her and rape her and treat her like a slave. Another example is that she very sad because she wants to see her two kids and her sister. The character thinks that why she has to be that way why she can't just have a happy normal life. Celie acts like she scared to put her foot down to her husband Albert. For example , her sister Nettie told her "don't let him get over you" Celie said," I just jot to stay alive. "The reactions of others to this character are that people think she is nice because she does good and Albert doesn't care about her he just care about his other wife Shug.

Celie is important to this novel bacause she is the main character and it talks about her life. For my opinion I would not like to be this main character because I don't want to be a slave and get beaten allthe time. I would like the main character for a friend because I would like to help her to get her life back together.
